Maximum Throughput has announced that its MaXedit Server Edition which the company says is the first multi-user editing application is now shipping.

With MaXedit post-production facilities and studios can rapidly and cost-effectively set up a multi-seat editing environment that's suited for digital dailies and offline editing among other applications. Multiple concurrent users can access MaXedit by launching it from a Web browser. They can review edit and render compressed and uncompressed SD/HD content without using specialized workstations or needing to upgrade existing network infrastructure. Users connected over LAN or over the Internet simply log on to the MaXedit application server and begin editing. “MaXedit Server continues to exceed expectations of companies in the broadcast and post production markets with its innovative server-based editing model and their feedback thus far has been very impressive ” says John Miller Maximum Throughput’s vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.   “MaXedit delivers a substantial improvement over the dedicated workstations model by significantly reducing the capital and operational costs of editing while enabling worldwide editing collaboration over the Internet.”  Maximum Throughput www.max-t.com
