UK cinema support company Indy Cinema Group is making its first appearance at CinemaCon this year where it will partnering with independent cinemas in Florida, Virginia and North Carolina. Formed in 2010, Indy offers services such as film booking negotiation, scheduling, marketing, and theatre management systems.

Founder and managing director Ian Brown said, “Our one-of-a-kind Head Office support package has increased box office at our clients’ cinemas by an average of 40 percent in their first year and reduced cinemas’ overheads by an average of £400 to £800 per month.”

Indy currently works with thirty-four UK cinemas of various sizes, and eight across Australia and New Zealand. Two more New Zealand cinemas will be starting with Indy in May, which will see the company working with ten percent of independent New Zealand cinemas.

Brown said, “We are incredibly proud to bring our package to the US market, and look forward to seeing the positive contribution and cost savings Indy will bring in assisting independent cinema owners across the US grow and develop their cinemas further.”

Indy will be available to speak to at CinemaCon, the international cinema conference. Their appearance has generated significant interest, with ten different independent cinemas arranging to meet them there already.

CinemaCon, which runs April 1-4 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas is the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners.
