Doremi Cinema is to supply its Integrated Media Block and ShowVault equipment to the London-based Arts Alliance Media. This follows three years of fruitful collaboration between the two companies as AAM has installed more than 1 500 digital cinema screens in Europe. The new equipment is to be provided under the extension of AAM’s supply agreement with Doremi Cinema. The IMB/ShowVault digital movie player combination adds new features for high picture quality and efficient operation in the latest and upcoming digital cinemas. The IMB/ShowVault combination provides industry-leading performance for playing JPEG2000 movies at up to 4K resolution. The ShowVault server plays the digital cinema package from its store to the IMB located within a Series 2 DLP Cinema projector for decrypting decoding and direct delivery to the projector. The power of the Doremi IMB scores several industry firsts. It provides the first IMB 4K available and is also the first equipment and currently only IMB to pass the DCI’s Compliance Test Plan. Rich Phillips vice president engineering at AAM says “Doremi Cinema continues to be an industry leader for cinema servers. They continue to innovate and we are glad to be extending our business with them. The VPF business model is important to us so the news of the recent DCI-CTP pass is very important for our future business. Hervé Baujard Doremi Cinema business development and sales director says “We have been working with AAM for many years now and are delighted to be continuing our good relationship. Digital Cinema technology is evolving and we aim to keep at the forefront. Providing customers with equipment that meets industry standards is vital for the future success of digital cinema and the DCI-CTP pass is a big step for us and important for the industry.”
