Cinema systems integrator Dcinex has opened an office in Turkey and named Cengiz Çilek as the company’s country general manager there.

Çilek has more than 15 years' experience in cinema operations. He started his career as installation engineer at Professional A/V systems where he was responsible for cinema installations and support. In parallel, he acquired expertise in cinema content services by working as online editor and post-production supervisor for several feature films and commercial projects.

Dcinex recently agreed to deploy 113 screens in Turkey for Cinema PINK, one of Turkey's largest cinema operators. "Presence in Turkey was of strategic importance for our group" said Serge Plasch, chief executive officer of Dcinex Group. "The appointment of Cengiz is the right move to support our Turkish customers with the best commercial and technical advice coming from a person with the understanding of the cinema industry and deep technical & operational experience."

"I'm very happy to have Cengiz on board", said Till Cussmann, vice-president exhibitor services. "Our presence will uncontestably accelerate cinema digitalization in Turkey and help us increasing satisfaction amongst our Turkish customers. As a one-stop-shop, we aim to position ourselves as the leading partner for new-built projects from design to after-sales services."

Cilek said, "I am very pleased to be part of Dcinex. I believe Dcinex is the perfect place to pursue perfectionism in cinema technology."
