Ballantyne Installs 3D Systems for Regal and National Amusements

Ballantyne of Omaha has announced that its Strong Digital Systems division provided 35 NEC Starus Digital Cinema projectors with RealD 3D technology to theatre chains including Regal Entertainment Group and National Amusements. The projectors shipments and installations were completed in time for the November release of Walt Disney Pictures' animated feature film Bolt. Strong Technical Services subsidiary is performing a majority of the installations and a majority of the specialty silver screens are being procured from the Company's Strong Screen Systems business. Digital Link an entity formed and co-financed by RealD and Ballantyne funded the projector purchases. Specific financial terms were not disclosed. John P.
