In a first for Vista Group International, its companies Vista Entertainment Solutions and Movio have won a joint proposal to provide their cinema software to Ster-Kinekor Theatres, the largest cinema exhibitor on the African continent.

Movio has won the prestigious 2016 New Zealand Hi-Tech Innovative Software Product award for its latest development Movio Media. Vista Group has signed Jinyi International Cinemas following a project piloting Vista Entertainment Solutions software in 19 of its cinemas over the past several months. Jinyi is the third largest cinema exhibition chain in China with 138 cinema sites across southern and eastern China. For VES, Jinyi is the second large-scale chain that the company has secured in China in the last 18 months following Dadi Digital Cinema in 2014.

When ShowBiz Cinemas opened its first entertainment center in Baytown, Texas in late October 2015, it had unique advantages over the competition: 10 movie theatres, 14 bowling lanes and a full bar, not to mention a passion for providing the best customer service.

PVR Cinemas has selected GDC Technology to monitor its digital cinema equipment and automated systems for the entire circuit. When completed, this will be the largest circuit-wide rollout of the company’s comprehensive theatre management system and technology intelligent network operations center software.
Santikos Entertainment has extended its five-year strategic partnership with GDC Technology by signing a new agreement to install GDC integrated media blocks in conjunction with its transition to all-laser projection. Under the agreement, GDC Technology will deploy a total of 70 units of its SX-3000 Integrated Media Block with Enterprise Storage Plus, which provides 4TB of storage, with laser phosphor projectors.
