Arts Alliance Media has announced a new software partnership with the Tromsø International Film Festival to use AAM’s Screenwriter Theatre Management System to handle the festival’s content and scheduling.

The Göteborg Film Festival is introducing The Hypnotic Cinema – what the organizers are calling “a mind-bending experiment where visitors are challenged to lose control in the cinema by being hypnotized.” The Hypnotic Cinema examines the possibility to intensify the film experience for those courageous visitors who dare to let loose in the cinema. The Nordic region's largest film festival is happy to return to the cinemas in Göteborg next year. Due to the pandemic, the 2021 edition of Göteborg Film Festival became a digital event. The digital edition turned out to be a great audience success with visitors from all over the country. Therefore, Göteborg Film Festival 2022 will show films both in cinemas and online from January 28 through February 6, 2022.
The winners of this year’s Young Animator of the Year UK award have been announced by Access:VFX, the ScreenSkills Animation Fund and #Dami. Through its awards program, YAY UK aims to provide aspiring animators from a range of backgrounds with access to and advice from professionals and studios in the animation, games and visual effects industry. The winning work will premiere at the Manchester Animation Festival, which runs November 14-19.
Goldcrest Post provided final color grading and editorial finishing for five films screening at next month’s Doc NYC fest. They include three world premieres and two films making their New York City premieres. The largest documentary film festival in the country, Doc NYC 2021 will feature in-person screenings November 10-18 and will continue online through November 28.
The Soho International Film Festival, presented by Soho Film Forum will run November 4-9 in a virtual format and will include films, live streamed panels with filmmakers/available cast members and more.
