The Nance to Play in 300 Movie Theatres June 23

Douglas Carter Beane’s 2013 drama The Nance, produced by Lincoln Center Theater and headlined by two-time Tony Award-winning actor Nathan Lane, comes to more than 300 movie theatres in the U.S. and Canada for a limited run beginning June 23 during Gay Pride Week in many cities. This presentation is made possible by Screenvision and Lincoln Center.

Mirada Transforms UCLA's Royce Hall with Projection Mapping Spectacle

Mirada teamed up with UCLA to create a one-of-a-kind film designed specifically for projection onto the façade of the University's iconic Royce Hall. The 10-minute film produced at 5K+ resolution was developed from beginning to end by Mirada, and became a true passion project for the creative team; Mirada co-founder Javier Jimenez is a UCLA alum, and the company has participated in mentorship programs with UCLA students for several years.

Village Cinemas, one of the leading multiplex operators in Australia, has installed Dolby Atmos technology at two of the VMAX cinema auditoriums at Crown Casino, Melbourne. Invited guests will be among the first to experience the sound technology at the iconic VMAX cinema auditoriums at a special preview screening of Edge of Tomorrow, the new action film from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, which opens in Australia on June 5th.

Maheshwari Theatre Second in Bangalore, India to Adopt Barco’s Auro 11.1 Sound

The Maheshwari Theatre in Bangalore, India has installed Barco Auro 11.1 sound technology. The new sound system will be unveiled at a press conference May 23. The 1,000-seat theater is the second screen in the region to upgrade its sound system to Auro 11.1; the Manasa Theatre upgraded its sound last July.
