Technicolor PostWorks Supports SXSW Films

Al Pacino in ManglehornTechnicolor PostWorks provided post-production services for six films screening at this month’s South By Southwest Film Festival. They include headliners Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine, in its world premiere, and Manglehorn, in its U.S. premiere. Also screening are Adult Beginners (Festival Favorites/U.S. Premiere), The Final Girls (Narrative Spotlight/World Premiere), The Grief of Others (Narrative Competition/World Premiere) and Mania Days(Narrative Spotlight/World Premiere).

Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine, Academy Award-winner Alex Gibney’s documentary on Apple’s founder.  Technicolor PostWorks provided color grading and editorial conforming services; Jack Lewars, colorist; Jeff Cornell, Keith Jenson and ZacGobetz, conform editors.

Manglehorn, director David Gordon Green’s drama about a small town locksmith (Al Pacino). Technicolor PostWorks provided color grading facilities; Alex Bickel (Color Collective), colorist.

Adult Beginners, a comedy from Academy Award-nominated producer Ross Katz in his feature directing debut. Technicolor PostWorks provided color grading services; Jack Lewars, colorist; PostWorks provided sound mixing services; Martin Czembor, re-recording mixer.

The Final Girls, Todd Strauss-Schulson’s unconventional comedy about a high school senior and her B movie star mom. PostWorks provided editorial facilities; Technicolor PostWorks provided color grading facilities; Alex Bickel (Color Collective), colorist.

The Grief of Others¸ Patrick Wang’s drama about a couple coping with the death of their infant son. Technicolor PostWorks provided 16mm film dailies, color grading and editorial conforming services; Jake Caffera, dailies colorist; Sam Daley, colorist; Chris DiBerardino, conform editor.

Mania Days, a drama from debut director Paul Dalio and executive producer Spike Lee about a pair of manic depressive poets. Technicolor PostWorks provided film scanning and dailies services. Adam Moore and Keith Jenson, scanning supervisors and dailies colorists.
