Kundo: Age of the Rampant to be released in Dolby Atmos

Kundo: Age of the Rampant is being mixed and released in Dolby Atmos. will be mixed and released in the Dolby Atmos cinema sound format. Filmmakers use Dolby Atmos to place and move sounds anywhere in the movie theatre, including overhead, to make film audiences feel as if they are inside the movie and not merely watching it.

Kundo: Age of the Rampant tells the story of righteous outlaws who fight against a corrupt official on behalf of powerless subjects. The film is the third Dolby Atmos title mixed and released in Korea, following Mr. Go and Genome Hazard. Audiences will be able to experience the next-generation Dolby sound format when Showbox releases Kundo: Age of the Rampant in Korea on July 23.

“We are very excited that Kundo: Age of the Rampant is mixed and released in Dolby Atmos, the most powerful sound technology we have ever used,” said Jong-bin Yun, the film’s director. “With Dolby Atmos, the audiences will feel as if they are in the middle of the fierce uprising of the Joseon dynasty period.”
